Kyler and Marissa have one heck of a story that spans over two countries! When I shoot engagement sessions I always like to ask my couples how they met. Marissa let Kyler take over the reigns of story telling because “she wasn’t there” – which is hysterical, and made me laugh. Kyler was working with one of Marissa’s mom’s friends, Jackie, who mentioned Marissa to him during a meeting together. Kyler kind of snuffed it off until match-maker Jackie very kindly shoved a picture of Marissa in front Kyler and he was like “oh wow, she’s cute!” and the rest, they say, is history.

Except for this story.. Marissa just so happened to live in CANADA. After Kyler got Marissa’s contact information from Jackie he reached out to Marissa. The day he happened to reach out to Marissa was Canada Day. Marissa said that when Kyler wished her a “Happy Canada Day” she knew that he was in it to win it. After a long year and a half of flights and traveling and paper work, Marissa finally landed in America to stay.
